NotiSpark

Install NotiSpark on Linux

NotiSpark runs on 64-bit Linux. The AppImage works on almost every distribution; the .deb package is for Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint and similar.

Which one to choose

AppImage (recommended): one file that runs on Ubuntu, Fedora, Mint, Manjaro, openSUSE and most others. It updates itself.

Debian package (.deb): installs NotiSpark like other apps on Ubuntu, Debian and Mint. Updates ask for your password, like any system update.

AppImage

  1. On the Download page, choose Linux, then AppImage.
  2. Move the file somewhere it can stay, for example a folder called Applications in your home folder.
  3. Right-click the file → Properties → Permissions, and tick “Allow executing file as program” (or run: chmod +x NotiSpark-*.AppImage).
  4. Double-click it to start NotiSpark.

Debian package (.deb)

  1. On the Download page, choose Linux, then .deb.
  2. Double-click the file to open it in your software center and click Install, or run: sudo apt install ./NotiSpark-*.deb
  3. Start NotiSpark from your app menu.

Desktop integration

NotiSpark can become your default email app, so “mailto” links open in it: Settings → General → Default email app.
