NotiSpark Sync
NotiSpark Sync: your signatures, contacts and settings on every device
Your signatures, contacts, calendar and settings on all your devices — end-to-end encrypted. Change something on your office PC and see it on your home PC and phone. Everything is locked on your device before it leaves, so only your own devices can read it.
Sync email settings across all your devices
Change something on one device and it shows up on the others within about half a minute, while the apps are open. A new laptop is ready in minutes, not an afternoon.
- Works on Windows and Linux computers and on Android phones
- One person, an office PC, a home PC and a phone: the same signatures, rules and contacts everywhere
- More for teams is coming
How it works: three simple steps
There is nothing to install and no file to carry around.
- Turn it on. Open Settings → NotiSpark Sync on a device you already use and switch on NotiSpark Sync.
- Approve your other device. On the new device, turn on sync, then check on a device you already have that a 6-digit code matches.
- Done. Your signatures, rules, contacts and more appear on the new device, and stay in step from then on.
What syncs: signatures, rules, contacts and more
Sync signatures between your PC and your phone, and the things you would hate to set up twice.
- Signatures, rules, Quick Steps and tags
- Your choice of alert animations
- NotiSpark contacts and groups
- NotiSpark calendar events and calendar settings
- The list of your email accounts
- Most of your settings
Encrypted settings sync: locked on your device, not by us
Your data is locked on your device before it leaves. Only your devices have the key, not NotiSpark. That also means we cannot get your data back for you: if you lose the recovery code and every device, the synced copy cannot be recovered. That is what real encryption looks like.
- End-to-end encrypted: we store scrambled copies and cannot read them
- Email passwords, sign-in tokens and your mail are never synced. A new device asks for each email password once, or takes them from your own backup file
- A new device can only join after you approve it on a device you already have
- A one-time recovery code gets you back in if every old device is lost
- Delete my synced data, from the app or from your account on the website, removes it at any time
Included with Pro and Business
NotiSpark Sync comes with Pro, Business and your free trial.
- Space: 20 MB on Pro and 100 MB on Business, plenty for settings and thousands of contacts and calendar events
- Not on Free: Free users can still move settings with the Export settings backup file
- If your plan ends, syncing pauses and nothing is deleted from your devices
Questions
Can NotiSpark see my data?
No. Your synced data is encrypted on your device before it is sent, and only your devices hold the key. We store scrambled copies that we cannot read. We only know your device names and how much space you use.
Are my email passwords synced?
Never. Email passwords, sign-in tokens and your mail are not synced. A new device asks for each email password once, or takes them from your own backup file.
How do I add a new device?
Turn on sync on the new device, then approve it from a device you already have by checking that a 6-digit code matches. Only you can approve a device.
What if I lose my phone?
Your other devices carry on as normal. Remove the phone under Devices in your account on notispark.com, and as a precaution change the passwords of the email accounts that were on it. Your email passwords were never synced, and nobody can add a new device without your approval.
What if I lose my recovery code and all my devices?
Then the synced copy cannot be recovered, by you or by us. We cannot read it, which is exactly what makes it private. Keep your one-time recovery code somewhere safe.
Does NotiSpark Sync work on the Free plan?
NotiSpark Sync is included with Pro and Business, and during the free trial. On Free you can still move your settings to another device with the Export settings backup file.
How fast does it sync?
Changes show up on your other devices within about half a minute while the apps are open.
What about Google Calendar?
Google Calendar and other provider calendars are not copied by NotiSpark Sync, because their provider already keeps them in step. Only NotiSpark’s own calendar events and calendar settings are synced.
How do I delete my synced data?
Choose Delete my synced data in the app, or in your account area on notispark.com. It is removed at once, and your devices keep their own settings.
