NotiSpark

Private by design.

NotiSpark is built so we never need to see your email. Here is exactly how your mail, passwords and data are handled.

Your email never touches our servers

NotiSpark connects directly to Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud or your own mail host. Messages are downloaded to your devices and nowhere else.

AI that runs on your computer

The built-in AI model runs on your own computer. Your email is not sent to us or to an AI company. If you connect your own AI provider, only the tasks you start are sent to it.

Passwords locked to your device

Email passwords and sign-in tokens are stored with your operating system’s secure storage. Backups are encrypted, and moving them to another computer needs your passphrase.

Trackers in mail you receive are blocked

Pictures in incoming email stay off until you allow a sender, so other people’s tracking pixels can’t tell when you read their mail.

Spam and lookalike senders

NotiSpark checks every incoming email for spam and warns you about senders pretending to be a bank, shop or brand you trust.

Secure account

Your NotiSpark account is protected by strong password storage, optional two-step sign-in by email code, and lock-out after repeated wrong passwords.

NotiSpark Sync is end-to-end encrypted

If you switch on NotiSpark Sync, your signatures, rules, contacts and more are locked on your device before they leave it, and we cannot read them. Email passwords, sign-in tokens and mail are never synced, and every new device needs your approval.

Encrypted email: your keys stay on your devices

If you use encrypted email (S/MIME or OpenPGP), your keys stay on your devices. Sharing them between your devices is end-to-end encrypted and double-locked with your backup passphrase, so our server can’t read them.

Advanced Read Receipts

What read receipts record

Read receipts are on by default; you can turn them off anytime in Settings › Email tracking. When they are on, NotiSpark adds a tiny picture with a random code to the emails you send. When the email is shown, the picture loads from our read-receipt server and the email is marked as opened. We record the time, how many times it was opened and the rough kind of device (such as phone or computer). For some business accounts the approximate city and country of the open are also recorded; they are worked out on our own server and nothing is shared with anyone else.

Your recipients’ email addresses stay on your devices: our server only gets a scrambled code made with a secret key that only your devices have, so it can tell that two emails went to the same person, but not who that person is. We never store the reader’s IP address, and the code in the picture does not say who sent it. We note when a mail service such as Gmail or Apple Mail loaded the picture automatically, so you are not shown a misleading open. Read-receipt records are deleted after 12 months.
