Delete your NotiSpark account

How to delete the NotiSpark account you use with the NotiSpark Mail app (by NotiSpark) on Android, Windows and Linux, and what happens to your data.

How to delete your account

  1. 1

    Open your account on notispark.com and sign in with your NotiSpark email address and password.

  2. 2

    Have a paid plan that still renews? Cancel it first under Billing → Manage billing. An account can’t be deleted while a plan still renews, so you are never charged after it is gone.

  3. 3

    At the bottom of the page, under Delete account, choose Delete account…

  4. 4

    Type your password and choose Delete my account. You are signed out everywhere, and we email you a link to restore your account if you change your mind.

We wait 30 days so you can change your mind, then delete your account for good: deletion is complete within 30 days. To restore it before then, use the link in our email or sign in. Want it deleted sooner? Send a Privacy request through our [contact form](/contact/). Your email itself is not touched: it stays with your email provider.

Can’t sign in?

Forgot your password? Choose a new one with Forgot password, then follow the steps above.

Still stuck, or no longer have the email address? Send a Privacy request through our contact form and use the address on your NotiSpark account. We may ask you to confirm it’s you before we delete anything.

What is deleted

  • your name, email address and password (you can sign up again with the same address later);
  • two-step sign-in, and the country, city, browser and language we kept for your sign-up and last sign-in;
  • Advanced Read Receipts: your tracking codes and the whole history of opens;
  • your devices: they are removed from your account, their names are erased and the apps are signed out;
  • your NotiSpark Sync data and its keys;
  • your sign-in sessions, app sign-in requests, saved licenses and your alert-animation choice;
  • your place in a Business team (people in a team you pay for lose the seats it paid for).

What we keep, and for how long

  • Payment and subscription records (including animation purchases), for as long as tax and accounting law requires. The account they belong to no longer has a name, email address or password.
  • Security records, such as sign-ins and the deletion itself, to protect the service. They never contain your IP address and are deleted after at most 24 months.
  • Nothing else. We never had your email: your messages, contacts and email passwords stay on your devices and with your email provider.

The app on your phone or computer

Deleting your NotiSpark account doesn’t remove the app or your email accounts from your devices.

To remove an email account from NotiSpark Mail on your phone, open Settings → Accounts, choose the account and tap Remove Account. This only removes it from the phone: nothing is deleted at your email provider.

Uninstalling NotiSpark Mail from your phone removes everything it stored there, such as copies of your mail, your settings and sign-in tokens.

Delete only your synced data

Want to keep your account but remove what NotiSpark Sync stores on our servers? You can do it at any time, in either place:

  1. 1

    In the app: open Settings → NotiSpark Sync, choose Delete synced data and confirm.

  2. 2

    On the website: open your account, find NotiSpark Sync, choose Delete synced data… and type your password.

This removes at once everything stored for sync: your synced signatures, rules, Quick Steps, tags, contacts, calendar events, list of email accounts and app settings, together with the keys, the recovery copy and any requests to add a device. Sync turns off on every device.

What stays: the settings on your devices, and your NotiSpark account, plan, devices and read receipts. You can switch sync on again whenever you like.

Even if you do nothing, items you delete are removed for good after 90 days, and if your plan ends your synced data is removed after 180 days.
